Humm, wow I don't really know either. I tend to make random pairings out of everything whether it be yaoi, yuri, or het. I guess its because I figure "If I like them together, why can't I picture them being together?"

I figure for me, it's because I am a sucker for romance, and usually cute/interesting romance. Gay has the automatic interesting factor, and for whatever reason homos tend to be cuter on average? Except for Pam and Jim. Cutest couple ever.

For the most part slash is REAAACHING and that is just no fun and dumb, etc. unless it is slash for the sake of lulz. Delusional slashing makes me sad inside. So. I don't really slash.

Well umm.. Basically a straight person could explain liking slash just with this: The only better thing than a man, is two men! But no, I don't think that's it for me. I believe the reason is because I simply like stereotypical homosexuals and figuring out different opportunities from media.

I think, for example, shonen-ai and yaoi serieses are kinda boring because it's truly just canon gay. It leaves nothing to imagine yourself. It's man x man and that's it, end of sentence. But in slash (I don't consider canon gaycouples as slash, they're just gaycouples) you can use your imagination as much as you want and.. well, figure things out further yourself.

Slash is like a book in which you are an author and you're free to do anything you want with the characters (even if they're not yours, cuz hey, it doesn't hurt anybody!) 8D

Gosh, I kinda agree with EVERYONE. XD;; I've been liking slash since... the third grade, I believe. Back then, I hadn't even known it had had a name.

But I guess I like it because I'm a very romantic kinda person. A lot of the times, there are boys in whatever series that are just more suitable for one another instead of with their respective girls. Idk, that's just how I see it. ;w; I won't deny straight/lesbian pairings, either, as long as I can actually see the connections. (And yeah, connections apply to my slash pairings too...)

And crack pairings are fun, too...
